Example One: www.MYeJournal.com

This is a complete turnkey business we designed and launched last year. Customers find the site on the internet, and register for a monthly subscription. All payments and accounts are handled automatically. We started by designing the online product that was different from anything else on the market (A uniquely private online journal... the opposite of a publicly viewable blog, plus the contents of the journal were hidden even from us).

It started with an idea, a bit of market research, and a plan for being different. In addition to offering our customers nearly complete anonymity, we made sure the site was free from ads of any kind. We wanted to control our customer's experience of tranquil daily reflection, and so we built in dynamic features like the inspiring photo of the day. It also seemed important to offer our customers a positive daily thought on their way to write in the journal, so a random quote of the day was added. We selected only the most positive and encouraging quotes that would appeal to the largest audience possible and programmed over 400 of them into the site. One great image and positive quote show per day.

As for the journal itself, it's based on powerful and efficient technology that can store many years of entries for thousands of journal customers permanently. The needed backup systems for the computer hardware and pricing policies for the customers were put into place so these customers can truly enjoy the freedom to create a private journal and count on it being there for many years into the future.

The next phase was search engine marketing, which we also personally spearheaded for the project. The business has been attracting an ever-increasing following since. Currently the site contains nearly 500 private journals, with over 80 actively being paid for at any given moment. Just a drop in the bucket compared to the long term success this powerful web-based business is set to create!
